SEASONAL HELP WANTED

Job Description: Seasonal Township Ordinance Enforcement Officer

Starting Pay: $500.00 per month.

 Oswego Township is hiring a seasonal Ordinance Enforcement Officer to help assist with the enforcement of the Township Snow Ordinance during snow events and the Township Weed and Grass Ordinance during the growing season.  Applicants must have 1(one) or more years of documented law enforcement experience. Be able to work at odd hours and is required to be on call for snow events. Requires an ability to understand and follow instructions, communicate effectively, be physically able to enter and exit vehicle numerous times in slippery hazardous weather conditions.  Applicants must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License. Must live in the Township, Montgomery, Oswego or Boulder Hill. Vehicle will be provided by Township. Summer hours somewhat flexible.  Must also be able to successfully pass a background and drug check. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent and have some computer skills.

 Job Duties:

Ideal candidate will have some experience working with Excel spread sheets and digital photos.  Must be able to prepare monthly reports to the Township board, be organized and safety conscious and know how to deal with the public in a mature reasonable manner. Bi-Lingual a plus but not required.

Compensation:

$6,000.00 per year. Oswego Township Road District will provide all necessary equipment, vehicle and fuel for the enforcement of these two ordinances.
