Job Description: Seasonal Snow Removal

Starting Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour DOQ


The Oswego Township Road District is hiring a seasonal snow removal employee to help assist the full time snow removal crew during snow events.

Applicant must be able to work at odd hours and are required to be on call for snow events.

Job is entirely weather dependent. No guaranteed hours.

Requires an ability to understand and follow instructions, communicate effectively, operate equipment safely and the ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.

Applicants must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License.  Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.  Must also be able to successfully pass a pre-employment medical exam, including a drug screen, and a criminal background check. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Job Duties:

  • Snow removal

Ideal candidates will possess a CDL Class B, have previous public works knowledge, snow plow experience and experience operating equipment such as a front-end loader.
